Dear WAMFT Community,
In light of the recent societal and political shifts, we want to reaffirm that WAMFT stands with AAMFT's statement and the values that ground our profession: inclusivity, equity, and the commitment to supporting individuals, couples, and families through systemic change. As marriage and family therapists, we understand the deep impact that policy decisions and social change have on the lives of those we serve, and we recognize the complexity of emotions: fear, uncertainty, frustration, and hope that many are feeling right now.
As an independent affiliate of AAMFT, WAMFT remains dedicated to fostering spaces where we can process these changes together, build meaningful connections, and take action. We encourage you to join us in these efforts:
Community Cafe: A space for conversation, connection, and support as we navigate shifts in our society and profession.
WAMFT Voice Lab: A place to engage in advocacy efforts and work toward policy change that strengthens our profession and the well-being of the clients and communities we serve.
