Get to Know Bethany Suppes
Bethany Suppes, PhD, LMFT has been a member of AAMFT since 2012 and WAMFT since 2019. Shortly after, she joined the Ethics, Training, and Standards (ETS) committee, becoming its chair in 2023 and WAMFT’s executive team secretary in 2025. Bethany has published two books, Family Systems Theory Simplified (2022) and Compassionate Relational Therapy (2025), multiple chapters and articles, and numerous presentations with state- and national level MFT organizations. Bethany’s private practice (Solutions Through Compassion, Spokane, WA) specializes in compassion, religious trauma, recovering from cut-offs in family therapy, and systemic supervision practices. She also serves as the Chief of Curriculum for TwoX Labs (twoxlabs.org), a CE-providing company that focuses on the mental and physical health experiences of assigned-female-at-birth (AFAB) people as individuals and in relationships.
