Get to Know Ashley Haynes-Gibson
Ashley Haynes-Gibson, M.A., LMFTA, is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice and the owner of Ashley H.G. Therapy, PLLC, where she provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Ashley also works as a therapist at Thrive Wellness Clinic in Maple Valley, employing Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Family Systems Theory. She graduated with her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle in 2021 and is actively pursuing her doctorate in Philosophy in Couple and Family Therapy at Antioch University, New England. Ashley is the newly elected co-chair of the Legislative Committee and has been a member of the Technology and Networking Committee since March 2023. As a foster care alumnus, she is dedicated to working with former and current foster youth, as well as foster parents, to effect systemic change in foster family systems. Her research focuses on foster care and attachment, specifically on the creation and implementation of a national, standardized competency assessment for prospective foster parents. Passionate about advocating for foster youth, Ashley has been actively involved with the Mockingbird Society, Fostering Scholars, and the College Success Foundation.
