30 Day Hill Climb
Join the 30-Day Hill Climb:
February 14 – March 15, 2025
Welcome to our newest advocacy event designed to inspire Washington Marriage and Family Therapist’s to empower our community to drive meaningful change. The 30-Day Hill Climb was built off our former event, “Day on the Hill”, to facilitate a month-long campaign focused on three core goals:

-
Protect the Profession, Preserve Our Future
We are committed to defending the validity and integrity of the MFT license. This includes ensuring that professional standards remain strong and that the investments MFTs make in education and practice are honored. -
Defend Access to Mental Health Care
Our work directly impacts vulnerable communities, including Medicaid recipients and those in marginalized groups. We stand united to prevent budget cuts and policy changes that threaten essential services and reduce access to high-quality mental health care. -
Empower the Community to Act
Through training, education, and collective action, WAMFT will give members the tools to confidently advocate for the profession—underscoring the power of personal stories and unified voices in shaping policy.
Learn & Advocate
Throughout the campaign, WAMFT will offer three opportunities to earn an hour of Ethics CEs via WAMFT Voice LAB:
-
Session 1: Wednesday, Feb 19, 12–1pm
-
Session 2: Thursday, Mar 6, 5:30–6:30pm
-
Session 3: Wednesday, Mar 19, 12–1pm
These workshops will cover advocacy basics, provide updates on our legislative priorities, and include small-group sessions where you can practice crafting and sending emails to policymakers.
